Dutch company Endless Ideas BV showed a second version of its Reader electronic book BeBook second Perhaps this is finally a viable alternative to the Kindle, especially in Europe, because Amazon's reader is intended rather for the U.S. market. For us the most interesting is that it has a default BeBook Polish menu and easily cope with the Polish tails in the texts.
New BeBook 2 is amended housing compared to the first version, improved contrast, 6-inch 16-bit e-ink screen, and above all, the reader finally has a touch screen for easy overturning cards.
Another novelty is a built-in 3G connectivity and optional Wi-Fi. The company is currently working on his own site, with e-bookami, from which you can download, like the Amazon, new books wirelessly.
BeBook 2 also has a web browser and RSS reader. You can also listen to music on it. It has 512 MB of internal memory and SD card slot. System under a free license allows free firmware updates. Reader supports ePub and PDF formats (both free and with DRM), mobi, lit, doc, html, txt, prc, fb2, jpg.
